Midtown Dental Studio Featured in Our City Plantation Megazine

Opening the November issue of Our City Plantation and finding our practice inside was a wonderful moment. We’ve been part of the Plantation community for a long time, and the feature does a lovely job of telling the story: where we’ve been, who we are, and where we’re headed. The feature even includes photos of our team standing inside the new office while it’s still under construction.

So first, thank you to the Our City Plantation team for the spotlight. And a bigger thank you to the Plantation families who’ve made it possible.

Growing with Plantation: A Family-Led Practice Built on Care and Community

The article is called “Growing with Plantation,” and the idea running through it is simple. For us, growth has never been about getting bigger for its own sake. It’s about having more room to care for people.

The practice has had roots in Plantation for more than 40 years. Today, the practice is led by Dr. David Amador and Dr. Elizabeth Kerr Amador, a husband-and-wife team who met in dental school in Detroit back in 2012.

Dr. David grew up in South Florida and has a special interest in restorative and implant dentistry. Dr. Elizabeth is originally from Southern California and says what keeps her in dentistry is the mix of art, science and relationships.

They’re also parents to two daughters, Hope and Nora, so when they say family is a way of life here, they mean it.

What Matters Most in Our Dental Practice

Our whole approach starts with listening. We’d rather explain than overwhelm you, and we want you to leave knowing why we recommended something, not just that we did. The magazine caught that, along with a few other things we care about:

●  Same-day options. With the technology we use, many treatments that normally take several appointments elsewhere can be done faster, including same-day crowns when they’re appropriate. Less time off work, fewer trips, more of your week back.

●  A full range of care. Preventive visits, cosmetic work, clear aligners, implants and full smile rehabilitation are all under one roof.

●  No judgment. If you’ve been avoiding the dentist because of fear or embarrassment, you’re not alone, and you don’t owe anyone an apology. In the article’s words, “You do not need to apologize for how long it has been.” We mean that.

●  Look around first. New patients are welcome to tour the office before they ever sit in the chair.

A New Chapter in a Familiar Neighborhood

The new office is at 8460 West Broward Boulevard, and a lot of locals will recognize it. It was the Original Pancake House. For years, it was where people had weekend breakfasts and celebrated birthdays.

We love that. We can’t promise pancakes, but we’d like to keep the welcoming spirit of the place and give it a new purpose: caring for local families. The new location is only about 1.5 miles from where we are now, so we’re staying in the neighborhood.

Here’s what the extra space will mean for you:

●  More treatment rooms

●  More parking, with accessible spaces close to the entrance

●  A space designed around comfort

●  Better appointment availability

The part we most want people to hear is that nothing important is changing. The doctors, the staff, your records and your ongoing care all move with us. Same faces, same people who know your name, just in a bigger room.

A Referral That Gives Back

One more thing from the feature that we’re happy about. With our upcoming Community Impact Card program, every time a new patient brings the card to their first visit, we’ll donate $25 to 4KIDS, an organization that supports children and families in crisis through foster care, family support, and trauma-informed therapeutic care.

A referral is a sign of trust. We love that this trust can now help another family in Plantation, too.

A New Location, The Same Midtown Dental Studio

We’re aiming to open in early 2027. Until then, please keep coming to our current office at 7500 NW 5th Street, Suite 115. Nothing changes for your appointments, and we’ll let everyone know well ahead of the move.

If you’d like to see where things stand, including more about the new space and what to expect, we’ve put it all on one page.

The address is changing, but the heart of Midtown Dental Studio isn’t. Whether you’ve been with us for years or haven’t seen a dentist in a long while, we’re looking forward to welcoming you exactly as you are.
